Straight answers about Will-Fill

Everything you need to know about the device, the product family, installation and support.

What is Will-Fill?

Will-Fill is an automatic add-on device for metalworking and CNC machines that manages metalworking fluid (coolant/emulsion) from a single compact unit installed directly on the machine's tank. It continuously measures up to 12 fluid values, automatically tops up and conditions the emulsion to the correct oil/water ratio, and reports on fluid health — removing manual checking, filling and logging from an operator's daily tasks.

How does Will-Fill work?

Will-Fill runs a continuous measure – analyse – fill – condition – report cycle. Sensors measure level, concentration and other process values; the firmware analyses the readings and, when needed, autonomously performs a filling with the correct oil/water ratio. Will-Fill also periodically re-mixes and aerates the emulsion, and logs every measurement so the full process history is available.

What's the difference between DDx AP, DDx CP and AIO?

DDx is Will-Fill's single-device controller, installed on one machine's tank for autonomous filling, and level, concentration and temperature monitoring — with pH and electrical conductivity (EC) monitoring available as an optional add-on. DDx AP is the standard configuration, for a single machine or a few machines that each need their own independent, autonomous unit. DDx CP is the Critical Process configuration: everything DDx AP offers, plus an oil sensor, an advanced water-stop sensor, a full reporting package and a service agreement included as standard, for machines and processes that can't afford interruptions — it also lends itself to central systems, such as a single large tank of 10,000+ litres supplying coolant to 10+ machines. AIO is the centralized, enterprise-scale system: one feeding point supplies precisely tailored emulsion to up to six machine tanks from a shared oil/water source, with active circulation and real-time alerts across every connected tank. Every Will-Fill device carries the same 2-year warranty. See the full comparison.

How much can Will-Fill reduce coolant consumption?

82% of Will-Fill customers report consuming 42% less metalworking fluid on average, with a recorded best case of 74% less. 63% of customers double the lifetime of the coolant, reducing both downtime and disposal costs.

Is Will-Fill easy to install on an existing machine?

Yes. Will-Fill is plug-and-play and can be started up in an empty or semi-full metalworking fluid tank. It needs only a round hole of max. 160 mm, and its upper structure is compact — 200 x 200 x 500 mm (L×W×H). Our technicians are on-site for commissioning, so every setting is correctly configured from day one.
